Student killed in bus accident

ILAM, Dec 11: One student died while 45 others were injured when a picnic bus (Ko 1 Ka 902) of Unique College, Damak met with an accident at Kulbung-9, Bhalujhoda in Ilam along East Highway on Saturday.



Srijana Gurung, 18, of Topgachi, Jhapa died while undergoing treatment at Kankai Hospital, Jhapa. [break]



The injured are receiving treatment at Kanchanjunga and Kankai Hospitals.



NA vehicle plunges into lake; 1 killed



KATHMANDU: One Nepali Army (NA) personnel died when a vehicle carrying eight army men plunged into Manang Marshyandi Lake on Saturday, News 24 TV reported.



The identity of the deceased is yet to be established.



Three army men were rescued alive while other four are still missing.



Rescue operation is underway.
