Statute impossible due to federalism, says KC

ARGHAKHANCHI, Oct.18: Chairman of Rastriya Janamorcha, Chitra Bahadur KC, has claimed that a new constitution will not be drafted due to federalism and its scrap is the need of the hour.



Taking part in a press meet organized by Progressive Journalists´ Association, Arghakhanchi here on Friday, leader KC who is against federalism in the country said such idea is not the necessity of country, rather it is forcefully introduced following directions from foreigners. [break]



He stressed the need of unity among the political parties to establish republic Nepal and added that although the major political parties made maxim efforts to convince the CPN-Maoist to join the November 19 Constituent Assembly (CA) elections, the party wished to remain out of the electoral process.



"Any forces wanting to disintegrate the country will be defeated in the next CA election," he said.
