SPORTS BRIEFS: Wushu, TT selection complete

KATHMANDU, Jan 21: The selection for the upcoming sixth national games organized by Central Region Sports Development committee has been completed in Whusu and Table Tennis on Saturday. In the last day of the Whusu selection, 12 players from Sansau event have been selected. Eight male and four female players have been selected from the central region in Whusu.



Aang Babu Lama and Susmita Tamang were awarded with best player in male and female category in Thaulo event while Rupak Gurung was awarded best player in Sansau event. In Table Tennis, five players each from male and female category have been selected. [break]



Opel sets up title clash with Nobbs


KATHMANDU: Host Opel B has fixed its final clash against Nobbs in the Seventh Opel Valley Wide Inter School Basketball Tournament in senior boys´ 3X3 basketball. In the semifinal matches played on Saturday, Opel B defeated its own A team 13-9 with nine points from Shankar Chhetri.



In another semifinal, Nobbs beat Innovative 16-11 as Prajwol Shamba netted seven points.
