RAJBIRAJ, April 22: Six persons were injured when police baton-charged a team of businessmen who tried to padlock Rajbiraj branch of Nepal Electricity Authority to protest irregular power supply on Thursday.

In retaliation, enraged protesters hurled stones at the police personnel and staged a transport strike.

Expressing regrets over the clash, Saptari Chamber of Commerce and Industry warned that the strike will continue until regular electricity supply is resumed.
