Six boys go missing from religious procession

SURUNGA, March 17: Six boys who were a part of a kalash yatra or religious procession have gone missing from Chakchaki in south Jhapa since Monday.

The boys are between 12 to 16 years of age and are from Chakchaki-4, police said. Those missing are 12-year-old Nabin BK, 13-year-old Bhola Sharma, 14-year-old Nabin Pathak, 15-year-old Niraj Hasda and Neer Bahadur Poudel, and 16-year-old Suraj Hasda.


They are all students of local Janajyoti Lower Secondary School. They had been participating in the urn-carrying procession in connection to a weeklong religious programme at the Shivalaya Temple at Chakchaki-2. They have not returned home till date, the boys' parents said. RSS
