Khanal who reached Jhapa to inaugurate UML Mechi convention, also blamed that Maoists for their haughtiness. “The series of political crisis is a result of Maoist ego. They have to give up their ego if the country is to be led to the right path,” Khanal said.
Urging the Maoists to join the new government, Khanal said that no one should look at the new government under his party´s leadership as a government formed under compulsion or as no alternative.
Pointing at the Maoists´ stand not to recognize the new government, Khanal said, “There are many challenges and to face these challenges we need Maoist participation in the government.”
Khanal added that the main aim of the government is to take the peace process to a logical conclusion, draft a new constitution, state restructuring and economic revolution.
