Shestha new APF chief

KATHMANDU, July 29: The government has appointed Shailendra Kumar Shrestha to the post Inspector General of the Armed Police Force (APF).



An emergency cabinet meeting held at Singha Durbar on Friday took a decision to this effect. Shrestha will serve in the capacity of APF chief for next seven months.



The newly appointed chief was transferred to APF on February 2002.



Earlier, the cabinet meeting on July 17 had appointed Kishor Lama as the acting APF chief for 15 days.



The cabinet also appointed Dipendra Nath Sharma as the Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
