Shekhar taking lead with 1062 votes followed by Khum under NC open category

KATHMANDU, March 13: The vote counting for the 25 Central Committee members under the 13th General Convention open category of the Nepali Congress (NC) is underway at the central party headquarters in Sanepa on Sunday.

Of the total 1800 votes counted so far until Sunday afternoon, Dr Shekhar Koirala is taking lead with 1062 votes followed by Khum Bahadur Khadka with 1059 votes. Similarly, Prakash Man Singh is in the third position with 1039 votes.

Likewise, Pradip Paudel (1,007), Kul Bahadur Gurung (998), Purna Bahadur Khadka and Bal Krishna Khand (993), Pradip Giri (992), Bimalendra Nidhi (982) and Dhanraj Gurung (982) have been in the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth positions respectively.
