Share trading slightly up

KATHMANDU, April 27: Transaction has slightly increased in the share market today.

According to Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the Nepse index has risen merely by 0.02 per cent today and reached 1,670 points.

However, the sensitive index that measures the shares of big companies fell by 0.16 per cent.

The NEPSE stated that one million 451 thousand 520 units of shares of a total 143 companies were traded for one billion 104 million 302 thousand 298 rupees today.

The banking and other sectors share value has decreased whereas that of the other groups of companies has slightly gone up.

Banking and other group's share values have slumped by 0.38 and 0.72 per cent respectively while that of the hotel group has increased by 3.06 per cent, the development banks by 0.31 per cent, hydropower by 0.74 per cent, finance by 0.81 percent and insurance companies by 0.78 per cent. RSS
