Led by man-of-the-match Sonu Khadka, Nepal restricted Bhutan to 34/9 in 25 overs vindicating skipper Nary Thapa’s decision to bowl first. Khadka took two wickets conceding just three runs in her quota of five overs to choke the Bhutanese batswomen, none of whom could reach double figures.

Sita Magar, Rekha Rawal, Nary Thapa, Keshari Chaudhary and Binu Magar bagged a wicket each while Nepal effected two run-outs. Sonam Lhamo topscored with seven while Nepali bowlers contributed 13 to the meager Bhutanese total.
Chasing the paltry total, Nepal reached home in just 9.3 overs with opener Maya Rawat scoring unbeaten 20 off 25 including a boundary. Trishna Singh remained not out on three while Rawat’s opening partner Roshani Bohara (2)was the only Nepali batswoman to be dismissed falling to Bhutanese bowler Anju Gurung.
