The scuffle between the cadres of Nepal Students´ Union and CPN-Maoist-aligned ANNISU-Revolutionary has frequently taken place since last Wednesday due to dispute regarding an incident of vandalism in the campus.[break]
The campus has been closed since the dispute between students has jeopardized the teaching and learning environment in the campus, said Campus Chief Yagya Raj Bhatta.
´There is no easy environment to operate teaching and learning in the campus. Therefore, the campus will remain closed for a few days´, stated a press release posted on the notice board of the campus.
The calsh between the cadres of two different organizations ensued when some of the students retaliated the shutdown enforced by Maoist-close students.
The dispute on who to take the responsibility of vandalism of the campus buildings took a nasty turn, resulting in violent clash between the students.
Besides, other student organizations of the campus have also padlocked the campus demanding smooth operation of classes.
