Kalawati Tamrakar, 18, of Chachoda village of Amargadhi-6 in Dadeldhura district was abducted while she was walking to Ugratara Higher Secondary School, a one-hour walk from her village, where she is a 11th grader, according to District Police Office.
Police have identified Narendra Tamrakar, Sher Bahadur Tamrakar, Mahesh Tamrakar and Birendra Tamrakar as among the abductors.
Police are searching for the girl. Police suspect that the girl was abducted after her parents refused a marriage proposal for her from a man residing in the same village.
Seven youths were involved in the abduction, the police said.
