KATHMANDU, Sept 16: Indian ambassador to Nepal Rakesh Sood on Wednesday inaugurated the Indian Visa Service Center to be managed by Nepal SBI Bank Ltd. A press statement issued by the bank says the center would commence operations from Thursday.

The newly established center is the sixth extension counter of the bank in Nepal and third in Kathmandu. The counter will exclusively handle the visa application needs of foreign nationals intending to visit India from Nepal. “No other banking activities for general public will be conducted at the center," the statement added.

The bank has been handling similar responsibilities on behalf of the Indian embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
