KATHMANDU, March 26: Samsung Electronics has launched its 3G enabled smartphone, Galaxy J1, in the Nepali market. According to the company, the new phone is designed to help Nepali consumers unlock the true potential of 3G and make the experience more affordable and accessible.

"Nepal is at the cusp of its digital revolution journey and we expect 3G technology to rise and push Internet usage to an unprecedented level across the country," Pranaya Ratna Sthapit, senior manager, of Samsung Electronics, said.
The smartphone is equipped with a 4.3-inch WVGA TFT display providing an engaging and immersive multimedia experience to consumers. It has a 5MP auto focus rear camera with LED flash and 2 MP front-facing camera. Officials of the company said that the camera has innovative selfie features which give more options and flexibility to capture favourite moments. The set is available at Rs 11,490.
