RPP and NSP-A for 7 states

KATHMANDU, Dec 3: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and Nepal Sadbhawana Party (Anandidevi) each have proposed seven federal states in the new federal set up in the country.



According to a concept paper on federal structure submitted to CA Committee on State Restructuring, the RPP proposed delineating seven federal states and 19 sub-states.



Likewise, NSP (Anandidevi) leader Sarita Giri submitted in her party´s concept has proposed seven states including Himal, Pahad, Tarai, Awadh, Birat, Bideha and Simran state.



The UCPN (Maoist), and CPN-UML have proposed 13 and 15 states respectively.



The Nepali Congress has failed to be unanimous over 16 federal states proposed by the party´s State Restructuring Committee-headed by Gopal Man Shrestha.
