“Mayasingh Darai, Kamali Darai and Sukmaya Darai were injured when a one-honred rhino attacked them,” said Kul Prasad Bhusal, Chairman at Budhi Rapti Mayawarti Forest Users Committee. [break]
The rhino had attacked them on the bank of the Rapti River when they were collecting fodders. The injury marks can be visible on all over their stomachs, said Bhusal.
Of the victims, Mayasigh and Kamali have been hospitalized at ICU of Old Medical College of Bharatpur. Their condition is said to be critical. Injured Sukmaya is also undergoing treatment at the same hospital.
Madhyawarti Forests Users Committee has a provision to provide a person Rs 50,000 if he/she is attacked in the Madhyawarti area by the wild beasts.
