“The protracted transitional phase has led to growing dissatisfaction in the party,” Bhattarai said while addressing a function in Pokhara.[break]
The Maoist ideologue claimed that his party first began to see sings of internal problems after it came into contact with other parliamentary parties. “The problems have been transmitted from other parties, but they are not too serious,” he added.
Bhattarai, however, ruled out the possibility of split in his party. He said the party leadership has been able to keep the party unity intact despite intra-party conflicts.
He, however, said the party should address the problems without any delay.
“People will look for an alternative party if the problems are not addressed,” Bhattarai said. He argued that the internal dissatisfactions are likely to continue till the party general convention.
Bhattarai stressed the need for thwarting conspiracies being hatched to derail the peace process and urged all the parties to unite to complete the task of concluding the peace process and writing the new constitution.
At another function in Pokhara, Bhattarai warned that his party would lead the revolt if the parties fail to conclude the peace process. He also accused the parties of not being honest toward the implementation of the five-point deal and claimed that conspiracy was being hatched to dissolve the CA.
He also accused other political parties of delaying the peace process by rejecting the modality for integration proposed by his party. “They neither table any integration modality nor accept ours,” Bhattarai claimed.
