Regular walk reduces heart risks: NHF

KATHMANDU: Regular walk reduces cardiac risks, Nepal Heart Foundation (NHF), which participated in “Dipankha Yatra”, said on Saturday. Doctors of the foundation said a 30-minute walk regularly reduces the risk of heart diseases.



Dipankha Yatra which concluded on Saturday was observed by both the Hindu and Buddhist devotees. Devotees had travelled 66.5 km and visited 131 temples and monasteries. [break]



The organization said that over 200 members and volunteers had participated in the Yatra spreading awareness about the importance of walking. “We participated in the Yatra in a bid to spread awareness about the health benefits of walking regularly,” said Chairman of the foundation Dr Prakash Regmi.
