Gold Star Youth Club was awarded with ‘Ratoghar Samman’ and a computer in the event. The award was presented by the chief guest Kiran Manandhar, Vice-Chancellor of Nepal Fine Arts Academy (NAFA).
The program kicked off with the screening of two short films -- “Lust” by Rajan Kathet and “Big Pot” by Manoj K Pant and Nischal Paudel.
This was followed by poem recitation by eight young poets. Literature critic Biplav Dhakal commented on the poems. Veteran poet, Naresh Shakya, also recited his poem.
The award ceremony proceeded after the dance performances with various themes such as Ratoghar, New Generation Song and Save the Talent.

The film screenings were managed by Creative International Production Arts (CIPA), a group of young people working toward development of arts and films.
The poem recitation was managed by Alag Abhiyan, a group of young literature enthusiasts. And, the theme ‘dance performances’ was arranged by O2E, a group of young dancers.
“It is a good start to create such space for young people to explore their talents,” said Manandhar. He added that creative works can be done only through joint efforts and NAFA will always be there to help.
“The young people during the event were highly enthusiastic. This proves that they can channel their resources with added impact if they are given a proper space,” said Sneh Sayami, who coordinated the event and has been coordinating all the events in Ratoghar since past two years.
