Rajbir's ton propels Dhangadhi to final

KATHMANDU, April 10: Rajbir Singh's century on Friday helped Dhangadhi United beat Lord Buddha Cricket Club by 75 runs and set Sunday's title clash against Kathmandu Cricket Training Center in the First Kathmandu Cricket League.

Dhangadhi, after deciding to bat first, scored 251/7 in allotted 50 overs after Rajbir remained not out on 107 runs off 109 balls at the Tudikhel Ground in Kathmandu.

Amit Shrestha scored 36 runs facing 37 balls, while Sunil Dhamala added 35 runs off 70 balls.Man-of-the-match Rajbir smashed two sixes and 10 boundaries, while Sunil hit six fours and Amit cracked five fours.

Manish Shrivastav claimed three wickets for Lord Buddha, which managed only 178/8 while chasing 252-run target. Skipper Prasoon Thapa remained not out on 56 runs off 63 balls that included five boundaries, while Manish scored 43 runs off 88 balls hitting four boundaries.

Mahesh Adhikari, Bikram Thagunna, Saurav Bam, Rajbir, Sunil Dhamala, Prakash Khadka, and Chandan Rawal took a wicket each for Dhangadhi United.
