BIRGUNJ, Feb 3: Health workers at the National Medical College here have resumed their protest program, charging that management failed to implement the past agreement.

They have put forward a 21-point demand. The workers charged that management, despite its commitment, didn’t take action against those who manhandled health workers. They have also accused management of being utterly indifferent to the workers’ issues.

All hospital services, besides emergency have stopped due to the protests. In the 21-point demand, the health workers have asked for permanent appointment, a raise in salary, as well as various other conditions. The protestors have staged a sit-in in front of the hospital’s main entrance.
