President Dr Yadav said this during a meeting with Speaker Subas Nembang on Tuesday morning.
During the meeting, Speaker Nembang apprised the president of the difficulties caused by House obstruction and its impact on constitution-drafting and the day-to day-activities of the government. “It is the responsibility of all parties to pass the budget. The budget must be passed through the House,” Nembang told media persons after the meeting.
According to Nembang, President Yadav said during the meeting that there was no alternative to consensus among political parties for drafting the new constitution on time and resolving other problems facing the country. “The president has said that the budget should be passed through the House,” he added.
The president also rubbished rumors about possible imposition of presidential rule in the country. The president pointed out the need to make the Constituent Assembly and the House disciplined and said he would be ready to extend all necessary support to that end.
