President asks VP to respect SC decision on oath

KATHMANDU, Aug 25: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has requested Vice President Parmananda Jha to respect the decision of the Supreme Court to take his oath of office in Nepali, sources close to the president told myrepublica.com.

On Sunday, the apex court ordered Jha, who has been in combative mood ever since a two-member SC bench nullified his oath in Hindi, to take oath in Nepali in seven days or be prepared to lose his post.
