A total of 500,000 units of these stamps have been circulated in the market , Lok Prasad Acharya, director general of Postal Service Department, said at a function organized to unveil the postage stamp in Kathmandu.
Minister Gupta said: “The launch of commemorative stamp should be a matter of pride not only for Khetan family but to the entire Marwari community.”
Born in September 1947, Khetan was one of the pioneer industrialists in the country. Apart from founding Khetan Group, he also contributed in establishment of Kathmandu University and was involved in Hari Khetan Multiple Campus of Birgunj and Panchthar Multiple Campus, among others.
He passed away in April 2007.
