Chairman of UML Baglung Chapter Shree Prasad Sharma claimed 20 cadres of the party were injured in the clash. Among the injured, Dev Bohara, Suman Bohara, Jyoti Bohara and Sampanna Shrestha have sustained serious injuries, said UML leader Ram Krishna Sharma, adding Dev has been taken to Pokhara for further treatment.
UML leaders were holding discussions with Chief District Officer Shesh Narayan Poudel and DSP Prem Bahadur Basnet apropos release of two cadres arrested on the charge of attacking singer Ramji Nepal.
CDO Poudel said police used force to disperse the irate mob as they started protesting while the talks were underway.
