KATHMANDU, Feb 16: A police sub-inspector (SI) was found dead in District Police Office Jhapa at 6:15 am on Sunday.
SI Dhanraj Khatiwada, 49, a permanent resident of Temkemaiyung Rural Municipality- 4, Bhojpur, currently residing in Kanepokhari Rural Municipality-7, Morang, stationed at the DPO, was found hanging onto a nylon rope noose, police said.

The dead body was found on an iron ladder leading to the water tank on the upper floor of the three-story police barrack of the District Police Office (DPO), Jhapa, located in Bhadrapur Municipality-8.
Preparations are being made for legal proceedings after informing his relatives. According to officials at the DPO, all of his family members have already reached the DPO and have accompanied the police team for the post-mortem examination.
