Kulman Gole working at communication department of the post ran away firing bullets in the air in the midnight. Though, he ran away with five rifles and few bullets, police were able to recover four rifles from a nearby jungle, police inspector Ram Kumar Yadav said.[break]
However, police are still unaware of Gole’s whereabouts.
Police teams under inspectors Padam Thapaliya and Netra Baruwal have been mobilized to locate the mutineer.
Meanwhile, a five-member team under SSP Bhog Bahadur Thapa of Sagarmatha Zonal Police Office has been formed to probe the incident.
Gole who hails from Panchthar was in service for eight years.
