All the cadres had deserted UCPN (Maoist) party along with Baburam Bhattarai.Those arrested include former UCPN (Maoist) Rautahat Area No 3 in-charge Tribhuvan Shah and others.
"The arrestees are former UCPN (Maoist) cadres," Rautahat Police Spokesperson DSP Rajendra Pokharel added, "The group was formerly not known."
Madhesi Force was formed by former UCPN (Maoist) candidate of Rautahat Constituency No 1 Raj Kishor Yadav some a week ago.
Yadav had also quit UCPN (Maoist) along with Bhattarai.
Police had intervened the torch rally staged by the Force at Hospital Chowk.
"We have formed Madhesi Force for the betterment of Madhesi people," Yadav added, "If our arrested cadres are not released, the party will announce stern protests."
