The political parties reached a conclusion to this effect at a joint meeting at the prime minister´s office at Singha Durbar on Monday afternoon.
The meeting was called by the prime minister to brief the ruling political parties on his India visit.
"We reached a conclusion that the visit was very successful and added a new dimension to Nepal-India relationship," said Nepali Congress leader Dr Ram Sharan Mahat after attending the meeting.
The evaluation of the prime minister´s India visit by the ruling parties comes at a time when Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has claimed that the visit was a complete fiasco.
The prime minister returned to Kathmandu on Saturday after a five-day India visit.
A trade treaty with India was signed during the visit. Besides, India also agreed to provide an assistance worth Rs 32 billion to Nepal.
