In an address to the citizens, PM Koirala said the government has remained committed to rescuing and providing relief to the people who are facing an aggravated crisis following Tuesday's major earthquake.
As per the preliminary estimates, today's earthquake has inflicted heavy losses in Dolakha and Sindhupalchowk districts, PM said adding that rescue units and doctors left for the sites equipped with necessary medicines on choppers.
The rescue units have been mobilized in Kathmandu valley and all the adjoining districts by land.
"The government will intensify search, rescue and relief operations by using all the available resources and power," the PM said adding, "We will gradually become free of this natural calamity as this earthquake was an aftershock of the earthquake witnessed earlier."
He has also urged the public to lend their support to the security forces deputed to the task of rescuing the quake victims. RSS
