PM expresses grief over Japan earthquake

KATHMANDU, April 16: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today expressed grief at the loss of life and property in the powerful earthquake which struck Japan.

PM Oli has expressed grief at the loss of life and property in the earthquake, PM's Press Coordinator, Chetan Adhikari, said.

"The PM has extended solidarity to the Japanese people and the Japanese government at this hour of pain," Adhikari said.

At least 11 persons have been confirmed dead in the 7.3 Richter scale earthquake, which struck southern Japanese city Kumamoto on Friday.

Many people have been injured and scores trapped under the rubble and debris of the collapsed buildings. RSS
