“It was an introductory briefing to the new prime minister and the function was attended by the army chief and the principal staff officers,” Ramindra Chhetri, NA spokesperson said.
The prime minister was briefed on the structure and functioning of the NA which is part of a routine briefing. “The prime minister was apprised of the NA´s structure and functioning and also on army services, promotion process, peacekeeping operations, army command and other things,” Bishnu Rijal, the prime minister´s press advisor said.
The function was also attended by deputy prime minister and other cabinet ministers.
