Permanent appointment to CA members in protest

DHADING, May 26: At a time when the debate over whether or not the term of the Constituent Assembly (CA) should be extended for the second time is at its peak in the country, the Professionals’ Alliance for Peace and Democracy (PAPAD) Dhading district branch has given permanent appointment to all CA members.



PAPAD Dhading branch handed over to the Chief District Officer the letter of permanent appointment to be given to the CA members following a protest rally participated by the members of the civil society in the district on Wednesday.[break]



The letter of permanent appointment given as a satire to CA members states – ‘This permanent appointment letter has been given to you for not fulfilling the commitments made during the CA election and in recognition of your incompetence and your work. You have been appointed to the post of CA member even after your death.’
