"I am sad ever since the record of Temba Chiri Sherpa of Dolakha as the youngest climber of the tallest peak was broken recently," Pempa said, who holds the record of climbing Everest fastest.

Jordon Romero (13) from the US became the youngest Everest climber by scaling the peak on May 22. Temba Chhiri had climbed the peak at the age of 16.

"Now I have made a plan to help a child of Dolakha to climb Everest to make sure that the record of youngest Everest climber returns to the district," he said.

"I will try my best to take an 11-year-old child to Everest on my own expenses. If I couldn´t find anyone then I will take my own 9-year-old son," Pemba said. He is also planning to stay atop Everest for 24 hours without oxygen.

In another context, he said during his world tour he met former US Vice President Al Gore and drew his attention towards the effects of climate change on the Himalayas by giving him a stone from Mt Everest as a gift.
