Dahal has agreed that the name of the new party would be the Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (CPN-M).
The merger of the new party was announced coinciding the 117th birth anniversary of late communist leader Mao Zedong.
After announcing the merger, Yadav pointed out the need for unification of small left parties so as to be able to play a dominant role in national politics as the current peace process has gone off the track.
He said there is no alternative other than unification among revolutionary parties to effect desirable changes in the country.
“The party is making preparations to fight against the foreign stooges and free the country from foreign interferences,” said Yadav, adding that his party may even take up arms for revolutionary causes.
“We don´t say that the party won´t raise arms in a struggle launched to liberate the country and the proletariat,” he said adding the unification has boosted his confidence that the party would complete the revolution.
He said Nepal has been reeling under “Indian domination” and pointed out the need to liberate the country and the proletariat from it. Yadav criticized the Maoists who, according to him, are openly inviting China in the name of countering “Indian expansionism.”
He alleged that the Maoists are turning Nepal into a playground of China and India.
