Paras makes debut in Emirates t20

KATHMANDU, March 20: National cricket team skipper Paras Khadka made his debut in the Emirates T20 tournament playing for Marylebone Cricket Club (MMC), alongside India's Yubaraj Singh and England's Alastair Cook, against Sussex in Dubai on Friday.

The tournament also features England's county cricket clubs Lancashire and Yorkshire.


Nevertheless, MMC lost the match by 19 runs after failing to achieve the target of 165. MMC could only make 118 runs in its chase for the loss of nine wickets. Coming in at number seven, Paras, who batted wearing the helmet with an emblem of Nepal's national flag, contributed six runs. Cook contributed highest 35 runs for MMC.

Paras also bowled two overs but failed to bag a wicket.
