The panel comprises Yam Lal Kandel of CPN-UML, Ek Raj Bhandari of UCPN (Maoist), Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani of Rastriya Janashakti Party, Pushpa Bhusal of Nepali Congress and Ganesh Nepali of Tarai Madhes Democratic Party. The panel has been asked to recommend to the parliament secretariat about the fate of Jha´s membership.
The SP had on June 28 urged the parliament secretariat to annul Jha´s CA membership. Jha had formed FSP on July 19 with the support of SP lawmakers Khobhari Raya, Mahesh Yadav and Malamati Rana Tharu.
The mother party maintains that Jha cannot form a new party with 40 percent signatures including his own.
The SP had sacked Jha from the party and relieved him of all party responsibilities on June 26, accusing him of involvement in activities against party interests and hatching a conspiracy to split the party.
Meanwhile, a similar panel formed to study the memberships of lawmakers Keshab Mainali of Chure Bhawar Ekta Party and Rajkumar Nalbo Limbu of Sanghiya Loktantrik Rastriya Manch submitted its reports to CA Chairman Subas Nembang on Tuesday. Nalbo had formed the Sanghiya Loktantrik Rastriya Party, splitting the Sanghiya Loktantrik Rastriya Manch.
The panel has recommended to Nembang to use his authority in this regard.
