KATHMANDU, Nov 24: The Natural Resources and Means Committee of the parliament on Tuesday directed the government to allow operation of hotels inside the Chitwan National Park as per the existing laws.

The government will have to call bidding from interested parties before awarding the contract to run hotels inside the park, which is a UNESCO world heritage site.

Seven hotels inside the park have remained closed since July after the government could not take decision on whether or not to allow them to operate inside the park.
