We are now faced with a situation when all issues needs to be dealt in a package. A package deal is the best solution. We can prioritize agendas once we talk about a package solution. We can discuss the peace process first and then power sharing or vice versa and reach an understanding.
Is it true that the UML is close to NC on the issue of peace process but close to the Maoist on power sharing?
CPN-UML is free to take its own stance on both the issues. We have our own independent analysis on power sharing and peace process. [break]
But NC leaders have said that NC and UML largely share common concerns.
Of course, we share common views with NC on peace process.
You held a meeting with NC President Sushil Koirala Tuesday morning. What transpired in the meeting?
We met Koirala in our effort to forge consensus. We also wanted to hold talks with Maoists but could not as Maoist leaders couldn´t be reached.
NC leaders said they will raise the issue of budget with priority at the meeting Wednesday. What will be your party´s stance?
Budget should be presented through consensus.
Should the caretaker government be allowed to bring in budget?
This question is related to practical problems facing the country.
