The envoy, who is returning home next week after completing his diplomatic assignment in Nepal, conferred Certificate of Commendation on two Nepalese nationals, three Japanese nationals and three institutions amidst a special function held at the envoy´s official residence Tuesday evening. [break]
While the institutions felicitated include JICA Alumni Association of Nepal (JAAN), Japanese Language Teachers´ Association Nepal (JALTAN), Marushin Shitaka Construction Company Limited, the envoy separately conferred Certificate of Commendation to Amira Dali, President of Love Green Nepal, Dr Rameshwar Prasad Pokharel, who is associate professor at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital and Founder of AMDA Nepal.
Likewise, the envoy felicitated with Certificate of Commendation to Japanese nationals including Yoshiharu Kamimura, Japanese lecturer at Tribhuvan University Campus of International Languages and Committee member of Japanese Supplementary School, Kathmandu; Kensei Tomita, owner of Kotetsu Restaurant; and Jyunko Naito, who is owner of Danran Restaurant and President of Japanese Chamber of Commerce in Nepal.
While receiving the certificates, the felicitated personalities and the representatives of the institutions expressed gratitude to the Embassy of Japan in Nepal for recognizing their contributions. They also expressed commitment to continue working for further strengthening the friendly relations subsisting between Nepal and Japan.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Takahashi expressed that their cooperation and contribution will continue to play a significant role in strengthening the friendly and cordial relationship between Japan and Nepal at the people-to-people level. "I will continue working toward further strengthening the bilateral relations between Japan and Nepal even after I return home after completing my diplomatic assignment here," he said.
