Oppn alliance to attend CA meet

KATHMANDU, June 9:  The opposition alliance, which had been boycotting the Constituent Assembly (CA) since January 19, has decided to attend the CA meet slated for Tuesday afternoon.



Spokesperson of the alliance Prem Bahadur Singh said the alliance decided to attend the meet following agreement among four political powers.

Expressing reservation over the 16-point deal, three members of the alliance—Madheshi People’s Rights Fourm-Nepal, Tarai Madhesh Democratic Party and Sadhbhawana— boycotted the alliance’s meeting.


Chairman of Federal Socialist Party Ashok Rai and Chairman of Tarai Madhesh Sadhbhawana Party Mahendra Raya Yadav didn’t attend the meet due to personal reasons.
