Tipper driver Ram Lakhan Yadav (35) of Koluwabagiya VDC died on the spot while bus driver Prabin Lama was injured, the police said. Police have impounded the tipper and the bus.
Meanwhile, six persons were injured when two tippers collided in Siraha along the east-west highway.
Those injured were pilgrims who were returning from Manakamana visit.
Police said the condition of Ranjana Saha of Lahan is critical and she has been sent to Dharan for further treatment. Police have impounded the tippers.
