The vans will be specially useful in places like InfoTech where network congestion is likely with more than a hundred thousand people gathering in the same venue.[break]
NT is introducing the BTS Vans to overcome network congestion undermining quality of services at bigger gatherings.
NT officials said after the operation of the vans, hundreds of customers can make phone calls easily at the same time.
The mobile BTS service will also be useful in times of emergency such as natural calamities.
NT is planning to bring 16 mobile BTS vans in near future to provide the service nationwide in times of need.
Out of these, three vans will have complete backup systems. The total cost of all the vehicles is estimated to be around Rs 350 million.
