At a discussion program organized in the capital on Thursday, the association urged the Constituent Assembly (CA)´s Committee on Fundamental Rights and Directive Principles and the Constitutional Committee for putting in place such provision.[break]
The association also drew the attention of lawmakers towards the legal provision that requires renouncing the citizenship certificate by any Nepali citizen if she/he takes the passports from foreign countries.
Association´s executive director Hemraj Acharya, association´s patron Bhim Udas and general secretary Ratankumar Jha, among others, were present in the programme chaired by association´s chairman Devman Hirachan.
In response, the CA members who participated in the discussion vowed to raise the issues in parliament.
