Education minister Chitra Lekha Yadav inaugurated the opening ceremony at Bhrikuti Mandap of the capital and praised ECAN for their efforts. She also emphasized on developing Nepal as an education hub for international students.
Speaking at the function, chairman of ECAN Rajendra Baral said the association is ready to bring millions of international students if investors in education sector and the government make practical education available in the country.Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and chairman of Nepal University Teacher's Association Rameshwar Upadhyay, among others, wished for the success of the fair.
With more than 200 stalls, the fair provided consultancy services to study in well-known universities of India, China, Bangladesh, Australia, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Canada, among other destinations.
Earthquake victim Ashish Tamang of Sindhupalchowk district was provided scholarship to study till class 12 by Brilliant Education and Career Counseling at the fair.
