NIBL gives Rs 10 million to relief fund

KATHMANDU, June 18: Nepal Investment Bank Ltd (NIBL) has provided financial support of Rs 10 million to Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund (PMDRF) to support earthquake-affected people. Prithivi Bahadur Pande, chairman of the bank, handed over a check for Rs 10 million to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala amidst a function on Wednesday.

Issuing a statement, the bank said it has distributed various relief material like corrugated roofing sheets, tents, food and clothing worth Rs 16 million in different villages of Dhading, Kavre, Sindhupalchowk, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lamjung, Makawanpur and Nuwakot.

Chairman Pande also expressed commitment to provide support and assistance for restoration of national monuments listed by UNESCO World Heritage Centre that were destroyed by the earthquake, according to the statement.
