Analysts said ongoing fluctuation seen in the NEPSE -- the barometer of investors´ confidence in stock market -- is a normal phenomenon. During Tuesday´s session, indices of commercial bank and development bank groups moved to green territory, rising 1.81 points and 4.83 points and touching 698.82 points and 722.95 points respectively.
Similarly, indices of hydropower and others groups also rose 19.38 points and 18.8 points respectively on the day. In the similar note, finance and insurance groups also gained 0.13 points and 1.64 points respectively. A total of 116,512 shares worth Rs 49.47 million were traded through 1,022 transactions on Tuesday.
With the increase in share prices, total market capitalization -- the total worth of shares -- rose to Rs 466.38 billion. Sensitive index, an indicator of category ´A´ group´s performance, also rose 0.22 points to finish at 182.41 points.
Likewise, float index which shows transaction of shares floated in the market, also increased by 0.35 points to close 65.82 points at the end of the session.
