All trading groups, except the Finance group that gained 0.14 points, saw their sub-indices go down during the day´s trading. [break]
Hydropower group was the biggest loser of the day as its sub-index went down by a whopping 24.1 points to close at 599.3 points. Banking -- the heavyweight trading group in the secondary market -- saw its sub-index drop by 10.32 points to settle at 353.19 points. Hotels and Development Bank groups also lost 0.56 points and 1.92 points to close at 508.09 points and 262.45 points respectively.
Similarly, Insurance and Others groups also moved to the red trajectory after their sub-indices dropped 1.72 points and 18.79 points to close at 491.57 points and 554.57 points respectively.
Total turnover dropped to Rs 76.16 million, down from Rs 82.16 million recorded on Sunday. Similarly, total market capitalization also dwindled to Rs 360.35 billion compared to Sunday´s Rs 369.22 billion.
