Nepali, Indian journos vow to make NTY successful

NAWALPARASI, Jan 29: The two-day conference of journalists of Nepal and India ended by issuing 10-point ´Triveni Declaration´.



Forty journalists from both the country participated in the conference organized by Reporters´ Club, Nawalparasi, to make Nepal Tourism Year (NTY) 2011 successful.



The declaration states dissemination of factual news reports by studying the problems seen on the border to promote religious and cultural heritages.



Similarly, the declaration also stresses close coordination and coordinal relations between journalists of Nepal and India to make NTY 2011 successful.



It states that news regarding the development activities and all problems between the two countries will be prioritised and disseminated accordingly.



The conference is expected to help bring in more Indian tourists in Nepal. The declaration also has it that news reports about border activities will be published and disseminated in a balanced way laying special stress on NTY 2011.
