‘Nepal will be developing country by 2022’

JAKARTA, April 20: Minister for Foreign Affairs Mahendra Bahadur Pandey said on Monday that Nepal is heading on the path of peace and prosperity. Addressing the foreign minister-level conference at the Afro-Asian Conference, Minister Pandey expressed commitments to elevate Nepal as a developing country by 2022.At the conference attended by foreign ministers of 109 countries, he requested foreign countries to increase investment in Nepal.

“It won’t take time for us to get status of a developing country if we make proper utilization of available resources and manpower,” he told Myrepublica, “Nepal has prioritized facets of possibilities in our country at the conference.”

Minister Pandey informed that he also briefed attendants on progress on peace process and constitution writing.
   
The draft prepared by secretary-level meeting on Sunday will be given final touch by a foreign minister-level meeting, according to Minister Pandey.
